A new law came into being today, the “Hate Crime and Public Order Act” from our blessed Holyrood parliament. Condemnation has been swift from many corners, as the potential for this ill constructed legislation to allow blocks to free speech is quite chilling; the reach even extends to your own private residence. Tellingly, these issues seem to be more important to the SNP than addressing the crumbling infrastructure, health care collapse and a multitude of other issues that are complex to solve and require some real leadership.
