…here I am seeing a lot of these plastered around the Meadows in Edinburgh. A remarekably opaque protest. I am sure that the University of Edinburgh has a lot to answer for, but this is as poor an argument as one could consider. Little traction in the press.

Well, Seconds Out has been a ‘go to’ for me for decades for a progressive live album, andt the last side I think an absolute gem, revitalised by Steve Hackett’s fabulous reworking in recent live concerts. However, this one really blows the doors off….

I started listening to this with some trepidation. I am a huge SW/PT fan, but felt that Wilson’s last two albums were a bit dull, and rather than evolving felt like a bit of a retrenchment. This however is a fine return for a great innovator and maker of complex music. Roll on the tour!
